Through these support groups you will be creating bonds with other Mom’s and sharing in the creative process.

Newborns are hard, sleep is hard, parenting is hard, marriages are hard. Actually, sometimes it’s all hard and it takes a lot of work to keep going. Sometimes at the end of any day we just need an outlet and this outlet is conversational, supportive and creative.
As a mother of a young toddler I know there is rarely (who am I kidding; almost never) a time for a creative outlet at home. Here in these groups we’ll focus on expression, coping, and finding yourself through meditation and creative avenues. This is a welcoming, supportive group providing you with self-knowledge and tools needed for your journey into motherhood while forming bonds with other like-minded mothers.

Each class will include dialogue, mindfulness, expressive arts*, and reflection. These groups are once-a-week for 8 weeks and each week will focus on a new topic:
Week ONE: Sense of Self
Week TWO: Intense Emotions & Coping
Week THREE: Sleep Deprivation
Week FOUR: Communication
Week FIVE: Boundaries
Week SIX: Mindfulness
Week SEVEN: Self Care
Week EIGHT: Wrap Up & Intention Setting
This group is a judgement free zone, sleep training or not, nursing or not, cloth diapers or not. This is a space for community and sharing.
Everyone will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement - so ensure everyones autonomy.
* Aspects will include: art, poetry, narrative, music, and more. No experience necessary.
